.ee is represented with two discussions at the Opinion Festival
At the discussion on August 10, starting at 4:00 p.m., we will open up to the audience the nature of e-evidence, its collection and use in modern court proceedings. The triumph of digital evidence is driven by our daily digital footprint, which in some cases can also become decisive in court proceedings. In the sharing of e-evidence, cooperation between different institutions and countries is also being enhanced, so the collection of evidence has become faster and more efficient. The discussion will be moderated by Sorainen's attorney-at-law Albert Linntam, and the panelists are attorney-at-law Jaanus Tehver and Mario Rosentau, a lecturer in comparative law at the University of Tartu.
At the second panel discussion, we will discuss the novel EU digital wallet. It is a digital solution that brings different documents together on one platform to simplify their sharing and use. What opportunities does it create for us, how do Estonian specialists and experts contribute to its development, and what are the accompanying challenges? In addition, we also take a closer look to the future and what other solutions it may bring to us - whether we are ready to use the ambitious digital euro and what discussions we need to be ready for in light of it. The panelists are Mattias Lass (Cybernetica), Rainer Olt (Eesti Pank) and Riho Kurg (electronic identity expert), moderated by technology journalist Henrik Roonemaa.
Please note that the discussions are in Estonian and free to participate for everyone interested. In addition, there will be a live stream of them on the .ee Facebook page.
