eeID will be featured in ICANN Webinar in August 28th

We are inviting you to the ICANN webinar in 28th of August to learn more about the identification tools and how to handle user verification. The Estonian Internet Foundation is represented among the speakers in the webinar with our eeID electronic identification solution.

From October 2024, the second Network and Information Security Directive, also known as NIS2, will

will require EU Member States to adopt and publish measures to accurately verify the identity of domain name registrants before a domain name registration.

In this ICANN webinar, three different parties have been invited to give an overview of how they handle ID verification: One country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) operator (.ee) with the eeID solution; one professional ID verification provider (Truid) and one ccTLD Registrar (Loopia).
