Mare Vahtre Elected Co-Chair of the CENTR Marketing Working Group
The CENTR Marketing Working Group brings together experts and leaders in marketing, communications, sales, advertising, media relations, and customer communications from country code top-level domain registries. The working group provides registries with a platform to share practical experience, learn from each other’s successes and challenges, and jointly find solutions to marketing and communications issues in the domain industry.
Topics covered by the working group include building brand awareness, public education, campaigns, events, website development, analysis of research and statistics, assessment of communication tools and trends, and crisis communications. Attention is also given to how the use of country code domains can be increased and how their role as part of trusted internet infrastructure can be strengthened.
The Co-Chair helps shape the working group’s priorities, plan topics for meetings and discussions, and support knowledge exchange among members. The role gives the Estonian Internet Foundation an opportunity to contribute to the development of the European domain industry, bring Estonia’s experience into international discussions, and apply the knowledge and experience of other registries to the further development of .ee.
