Save the date: Baltic Domain Days 2026
The conference brings together registries, registrars, internet infrastructure experts, policymakers, and cybersecurity professionals from the Baltics and beyond to discuss the latest challenges and development directions in the domain industry.
In 2026, Baltic Domain Days will be held as a thematic parallel session within the international cybersecurity conference CyberChess 2026, taking place on October 14–15 in Riga. Based on previous years, the event is expected to attract more than 800 participants from dozens of countries in person.
In recent years, CyberChess has become one of the leading cybersecurity events in the Baltics, bringing together:
technical experts and policymakers,
representatives from the military sector,
internet and telecommunications service providers,
top-level domain registries and other industry stakeholders.
The conference focuses on cybersecurity at a time when geopolitical risks and digitalization make security critically important for both countries and businesses.
Baltic Domain Days: DNS Security and Governance
This year, Baltic Domain Days will form one of the parallel sessions of CyberChess, #BalticDomainDays, focusing on domain name system (DNS) security, threats and attacks, protection solutions, and governance issues in the Baltic region.
A detailed Baltic Domain Days program will be announced soon.
In addition to BalticDomainDays, the CyberChess 2026 program will feature several thematic tracks:
#CyberChess – plenary sessions, opening and closing, dedicated to strategic policy topics with a focus on cybersecurity development at national and European levels.
#CyberStory – industry trends and experience sharing.
#CyberShock – in-depth technical sessions and practical demonstrations.
Key Topics for This Year are:
- secure use of artificial intelligence,
- cyber threats and their mitigation,
- cyber threat intelligence (CTI) and data analytics,
- interaction between cyber systems and physical security, DNS security and governance.
Additionally, the conference will feature CTF (Capture the Flag) competitions, where cybersecurity enthusiasts will tackle practical technical challenges in web security, digital forensics, cryptography, and other categories.

Scams are better than ever: how does a domain protect your business?

In many cases, even the domain name no longer looks suspicious. This means only one thing: for companies and brands, protecting their identity online is more important than ever.

Throwback to the Internet Day 2025
This year's Internet Day focused on humanity’s role on the internet. People talked about how AI and social media are changing the way we get and understand information. How they quietly shape, filter, and steer what we see. How they affect kids, teens, and schools. Are we truly independent thinkers, or is the idea of free speech and free thought just an illusion? And if so, is there anything we can do about it?
